SOUTHWELL

As historic as nearby Newark, Southwell, its Minster which dates back to the 12th century. It is also famous for the Bramley Apple.

As Newark, there are some good pubs in a small area and is easy to plan a pub crawl around. It is also a good start or end point for a nice country walk.
