As the name may suggest, this building used
to be the main post office! Just how it became famous is not clear. Its
cavernous interior is pleasant enough but is devoid of any real character. The pub tries to offer something for everyone and has a split personality: By day it caters for the older generation, offering good food at reasonable prices. By night, the music plays at deafening levels, no less the FOURTEEN TVs play the latest music vids or sporting events, penguins appear on the door and the place fills to capacity with 'youffs' standing shouder-to-shoulder, bottles in hand. However during the day, it's a nice enough place to go and the outside drinking area is a little hidden oasis in the middle of town. |
