Formerly the founding Tynemill pub, it was bought by
Marstons and extensively refurbished some years ago. It is now owned by
W&DB. Although it never really regained its former popularity, it is still nonetheless a well frequented pub and offers both a good quality pint and home cooked food. The long one-roomed bar extends past the bar to a raised area which has a TV for sporting events. The separate restaurant (which is non-smoking) can be accessed from inside the pub, or from the outside via the steps down the side. |
