Good locals’ pub with very friendly atmosphere and no food. Has natural cellar so a cold pint is possible on a hot day, which can be enjoyed in the small beer garden which can become a real sun trap.

A wide selection of pub and board games are available. Sunday has a quiz night. Music is played, but at a low level. Although open-plan, pub is separated into three distinct areas. No non-smoking areas, but well ventilated. Occasional mini-festivals. The pub does not open during the day Mon-Fri.

Interesting features:
The pub has no less than three real fires, including this cast iron range.
