This is a great all-round pub, perfect for drinkers, walkers, families and diners. Formerly the Memory Lane, it reclaimed its original name of the Lord Nelson after several years, the official unveiling of the new pub sign taking place on April 15th 2006.

Alan Gill, ex-proprietor of both Springhead and Broadstone Brewery, runs a pub which has remained a village local, but also offers a whole lot more, such as a separate children’s play area and family conservatory, a restaurant serving quality home-cooked food, and accommodation.

There are four double rooms, two twins and a family room, all en-suite. One of the rooms caters for the disabled.
