 Quite possibly the best quality & consistency
beer available in Newark Town. Although not the most
homely pub, it is full of characters and has
a real community spirit.
Holds regular Brewery nights and live entertainment. Although open-plan,
it embraces five distinctly separate areas: bar, lounge, snug, restaurant
and general seating areas. Something for everyone.
Apart from its draught beers, real cider and perry are served from
the jug and a selection of foreign bottled beers are available as well
as an impressive selection of around 51 whiskies (49 being malt
whiskies), flavoured Polish Vodkas and five different Gins.
As a Castle Rock pub, it offers its 'One over the Eight' loyalty
scheme, whereby if you buy 8 pints of selected beer (namely the castle Rock beers and a few other things) then you get a free pint.
