Finding and getting to the
Newark Beer Festival

Let the train take the strain!

Newark-on-Trent is well served by public transport, the ideal way to reach the festival.

Our marquee is in a glorious setting on the Riverside Park in the shadow of Newark Castle. It is  an easy walk (5 minutes) from the bus station and within spitting distance (if you're a good spitter) from the train station.

By Rail

Newark is served by two stations, generally North-South by National Express Trains calling at Castlegate and East-West by East Midlands Trains which stop at the Castle station.

By Bus

For information on local, regional and National busses to Newark, see:
Stagecoach Busses
National Express Coaches
Nottingham City Transport
Nottinghamshire Travel Info

By Air

If you can find a bargain flight, we are only about a 40 minute drive from East Midlands Airport Regular flights operate to European destinations as well as the major UK cities.

By Car

We certainly don't approve of drink-driving, but if you are bringing friends or family by road, we are located adjacent to a Council car park, which is pay-and-display.

Soft drinks are available in the marquee for designated drivers.

Planning

Nottinghamshire County Council provide a journey planner for travel within the county. Very useful for those more complicated routes.

Volunteer staff at the beer festival will be able to provide you with some timetable information for your journey home. There will also be a list of telephone numbers for local taxi companies.
