Real Ale at the
Newark Beer Festival

Enjoying a beer at the Newark Beer Festival

Newark is surrounded by micro breweries and these will be well represented at The Newark Beer Festival on the LocAle bar.

Around 150 beers from the length and breadth of Britain, covering all styles from milds, bitters, lagers and stouts to fruit beers, wheat beers and those brewed with honey or herbs and spices.

The Newark branch of CAMRA has always prided itself on providing as interesting a selection as possible and our cellarman, Steve Westby, leaves no stone unturned to find the tasty, the rare and the unusual.

Please note that our beer order isn't always adhered to by the brewers who sometimes may have to make a substitution at the last minute. However, we think you'll find it's a good selection and well worth several hours in our marquee.

Enjoying a beer at the Newark Beer Festival

This year we have 150 beers on order and have listed them with their corresponding order number. Beers numbered 1 to 115 will go on sale at the opening of the festival (if ready). Beers numbered 2xx will be held back until Saturday (if ready), or as space permits. This helps us provide a balance of interest throughout the weekend as some beers are always more sought after than others.

The beers tickers amongst you will want to be here for the Friday session as we have several offerings from breweries that opened for business within the last six months. The new breweries are indicated with the word, er, 'NEW'.

The beer list

Beers numbered 1 to 129 will go on sale on Friday (if ready)
