The Vine has closed unexpectedly. This is quite surprising, as the pub was undergoing decoration and has just had a brand new sign erected outside. It is also a great shame, as apart from being a cracking boozer, it also sold consistently excellent quality beer.
There is a sign on the door that reads: “This pub is closed ’til further notice. For further information please telephone 0115 8525000″. Anyone care to give them a ring and report back here?

I've rung the number but it's an answerphone. I left a message so hopefully they will get back to me.
Has anyone tried contacting Paul or Simon?
I have texted Paul but he won'ttell me anything specific. He says he will make 'an announcement' at the next Branch meeting (this Thursday).
We can't do any more then. Can we?
