Notice on the Vine doorThe Vine has closed unexpectedly. This is quite surprising, as the pub was undergoing decoration and has just had a brand new sign erected outside. It is also a great shame, as apart from being a cracking boozer, it also sold consistently excellent quality beer.

There is a sign on the door that reads: “This pub is closed ’til further notice. For further information please telephone 0115 8525000″. Anyone care to give them a ring and report back here?

I've rung the number but it's an answerphone. I left a message so hopefully they will get back to me.

Has anyone tried contacting Paul or Simon?

I have texted Paul but he won'ttell me anything specific. He says he will make 'an announcement' at the next Branch meeting (this Thursday).
